The Dream Demon |
| The power of the Eye did fade And so the Cult became dismayed As their attackers took a hold And a bitter story did unfold |
| Still too afraid to storm the gate The armies did decide to wait Swearing alleigence to their liege The House was subject to a siege |
| The besieging armies settled in To blockade, tunnels did begin The Cult did nothing, so it appeared As the day of judgement ever neared |
| Beneath the House the Cult did cast Their magic spell, until at last From hell there came the piercing cries A malignant spirit did arise |
| Formed from filth and excrement A countenance so abhorrent Even the Cult, they could not look As the ground around the creature shook |
| The Demon did await the dark To make its sanguinary mark When sleep did take them into dreams The night resounded with bloody screams |
| Those who woke in time did run Towards the slowly rising sun As from their bodies did appear The embodiment of their very fear |
| They could not run from that within The stuff that formed their shameful sins In suffering and pain they died A rictus grin, a frozen cry |
| So as the Cult did once portend The seige of Ashand, it did end The House in victory did rise The Demon, sated, took its prize |
